**The Opportunity
We are recruiting for the position of Supplier Quality Specialist within our Functional Excellence Team.

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Quality team and will help maintain and continuously improve the Function's system compliance assurance provisions, with a particular focus on Supplier Quality.


The Functional Excellence team establishes and maintains Quality policy and governance to assure the functionality and effectiveness of BDA's Quality Management System (QMS).


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract and customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are effectively deployed.
  • Maintain approved supplier information and manage approval of suppliers.
  • Facilitate and lead performance measurement and analytical capability, managing supplier quality imperatives and driving continuous improvement.
  • Manage and conduct internal and 2nd party (supplier) audits to determine effectiveness and compliance with requirements.
  • Ensure on time reporting of the relevant supplier indicators (weekly, monthly reporting).
  • Manage supplier stakeholder relationships and perform supplier development.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Supplier Quality role.
  • An understanding of Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Program in Defence Industry.
  • An understanding of aviation or commercial production environments and suppliers.
  • Qualifications and experience as both a Lead and 2nd party auditor.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DASR Part 145, Part M and Part 21J frameworks.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as part of a Quality Team.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills with an ability to effectively prioritise and time manage to meet deadlines, including communicating with staff at all levels
  • Strong problem solving ability, selfmotivation and the ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision
