About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available to join the Environmental Health team at the Liverpool Office as an Environmental Health Officer.
Population Health in SWSLHD aims to protect and promote the health of the local population, reduce inequalities in health, and achieve optimal health and wellbeing for all people living in south western Sydney.

What You'll be Doing
To undertake activity that protects and improves the health and wellbeing of the community through the identification and mitigation of environmental health risks.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
- Degree in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or other environmental health/management qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer
- Knowledge of the NSW Public Health Act 2010, the Smokefree Environment Act 2000, the Local Government Act 1993 and the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2008 and associated regulations
- Demonstrated skills and experience in identifying, analysing and managing environmental health risks or equivalent experience and skills from a closely related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan and complete tasks independently, meet deadlines, respond to emergencies and work with a minimum of supervision
- A demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Word processing and computer database skills
