Based close to the city, the company is a leader in residential construction in Victoria building a varied range of residential builds.

The Sales Accept/Compliance Officer position entails managing the sales accept and compliance function by providing a technical advisory service and assessment of all sales packs against regulatory compliance.

The objective of the role is to streamline client files from sales to operations and increase the overall operational efficiencies associated with sales and pre-construction administration activities


Duties

  • Oversee assessment of job sale pack submissions in relation to Res Code siting and compliance in accordance with company standards, policies, and practices.
  • Ensure compliance in accordance with NCC codes, planning and covenants.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of job bin database in accordance with company standards, policies, and practices; and
  • Maintain consistency in sales pack delivery to workflow managers to achieve budget forecasts.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of jobs received and completed;
  • Provide leadership in a fair and equitable manner and in line with company standards, policies, and practices;
  • Identify the requirements and implement training staff across all functional activities and make recommendations to line management in this regard;
  • Works with relevant management to ensure the organisation's activities comply with relevant Acts, legal requirements.
  • Proactively communicate with all relevant business stakeholders as appropriate, to advise and assist them in resolving issues raised during workflow based on best practice and company policy.
  • Attend various management meetings in other business units; and
  • Prepare and write reports as required.

Skills and Experience

Knowledge in:


  • VBA Acts and Regulations
  • Planning & Environment Act 1987 (Section 173)
  • NCC Code & Res Code (Protection Works, Easements, Flooding)
  • Town Planning (Clause 54, 55)
  • Planning Schemes, Zoning and Overlays
  • Experience in SLHC
  • Permits and Residential Development
  • Design Guidelines, Covenants, and MCP experience
  • Siting and Building Envelopes
  • Developer Engineering
  • Reading and understanding Soil reports, Surveys and BAL.

Background

  • A sound knowledge of the volume home building industry in Victoria;
  • Background in building surveying will be favourable;
  • A minimum fiveyear relevant building experience;
  • A current Drivers Licence with the ability to undertake travel as required.
