Kelly Club is closely aligned with Kelly Sports. Kelly Sports has been providing a range of curricular and extracurricular sporting programs for children in Australia since 1994.


The Role


As the Coordinator you will be managing programs and delivering activities, on a weekly basis, to school age children at their client's school (within the Geelong area in either Winchelsea, St Leonards, Manifold Heights or Sydenham), as well as supervising one or more Educators.

You'll deliver a remarkable service to support families and children in Before School and After School Care Programs as well as during holiday programs

Reporting to the Area Manager, the essential purpose of the Coordinator is to deliver a fun and interesting program. This will be achieved by providing an inclusive and supportive environment where children are safe, engaged and well supervised.


You will

  • Develop, plan and implement a stimulating, educational child care program
  • Maintain a child safe environment for all children
  • Assist children in routine tasks
  • Manage and develop your team
  • Communicate effectively with staff, families and children
  • Complete general administrative tasks
  • Perform other duties as required

About You


Currently undertaking a
Diploma of School Age Education and Care, have experience in running programs with school aged children and supervisory experience in any sector.

For example, OSHC, school teaching, school camp programs, sporting programs, or the like.

Most importantly, you are personable, enthusiastic, driven, ambitious, and have the natural ability to communicate and engage with people. You're also well organised and can prioritise your administration, childcare and employee supervisory responsibilities.


You will demonstrate an ability to deliver a safe, caring and engaging program for primary aged boys and girls, motivating them to join in and have fun.

At the same time, you have the ability to discern what things need to be documented and reported in order to ensure compliance.


Job Types:
Part Time Permanent


Shifts (approx hrs per week) eg:
Monday to Friday
Before school hours: 7:00am to 9.00am
After school hours: 3.00pm to 6.30pm

Plus 3 to 10 hours per week, depending on the role, for Administration tasks.


Salary:
$ $35.00 per hour, plus allowances (split shift and laundry)


In addition to the hourly rate, a split shift allowance will apply: $19 per day when split shift is worked.


Skills and Experience

  • Working towards Diploma within Childhood or Education studies
  • Valid Working with Children Check (before commencing)
  • Current First Aid HLTAID004, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Asthma Management training (before commencing)
  • Current child protection training and strong knowledge of child safe standards
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of National Regulations
  • Good understanding of My Time Our Place learning framework
