    Description

    You will be responsible for

    :
    • Analysing process control and shipment product samples
    • Performing standardisations, calibrations to meet our laboratory maintenance schedule
    • Operating complex analytical equipment, including XRF, Laser Particle Sizer, & Eltra
    • Providing short term coverage for Product Quality Analyst, Metallurgical Technicians and night shift coverage as required
    • Providing consumables reports as required by management
    About You
    This role would suit a driven and analytical thinker that is looking for a new role where no two days are the same. You will also have:
    • Tertiary qualifications in Analytical Chemistry (TAFE Certificate, Diploma or University Degree)
    • Exposure to working in a similar environment and role
    • Significant experience working within an analytical laboratory with experience in classical wet chemistry analytical techniques
    • Previous experience with the following is advantageous: XRF, ICP–OES, Automated Thermometric Analysers, Eltra Carbon /Sulphur Analysers, Malvern Laser Particle Size Analyser and UV-Vis spectrometer
    • Flexibility providing coverage within our department including Night
    • Shifts when required
