**Are you an accomplished Category Manager seeking an exciting role with significant impact?
**We currently have a vacancy for a Skincare Category Manager to join our esteemed organisation. As the Skincare Category Manager, you will lead and oversee one of our largest and most influential category portfolios. This pivotal leadership position entails driving strategic thought leadership, fostering innovative design, and providing goal-oriented guidance to your team. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a comprehensive and dynamic category strategy.


The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Achieving the predetermined revenue and sales growth targets, while maintaining complete accountability for the category's profit and loss.
  • Collaborating closely with the Digital and Loyalty teams to gain invaluable customer insights.
  • Analysing internal and external data sources to define the skincare category and customer profiles. Utilising customer segmentation to tailor range, pricing, promotion, and product placement strategies.
  • Crafting and implementing an innovative category strategy that encompasses a curated range, cuttingedge digital and marketing plans, and an entrepreneurial testandlearn approach. Overseeing the project management of the category strategy, ensuring seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Spearheading the purchasing and supplier engagement strategy, joint business planning, and stock health management.
  • Leverage insights to inform, develop, and execute comprehensive range reviews that enhance the category strategy, ensuring an unparalleled customer experience instore.
  • Delivering localised and storespecific planograms, streamlining the range, and presenting comprehensive category performance updates during meetings.

About the Role:


  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Category Manager, Buying/Merchandise Manager, or Account Manager.
  • Desirable background in the Pharmaceutical/Beauty industry, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of government and scheme compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to derive valuable insights from complex customer data and adeptly present them alongside creative and strategic solutions.
  • Profound commercial acumen and extensive financial knowledge specifically within the category management realm.
  • Indepth expertise in procurement, category management best practices, and strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire through influential leadership, fostering highperforming teams.
  • Exemplary multitasking and organisational skills, enabling effective management of multiple priorities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
**Education/Qualifications: - Tertiary qualification (Business, Finance / Procurement, Marketing or Retail)
