The role Reporting to the Senior Program Manager ATP, you will function as the linchpin between research ethics and successful clinical research endeavours.

Your expertise will be instrumental in offering nuanced advice and support to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring that sponsored clinical research and multi-centre projects are not only ethically sound but also meticulously governed.

By fostering collaborative relationships within the research ethics and governance community, you will create a synergistic environment where knowledge sharing, and best practices become the norm.

Moreover, your role will involve maintaining the pulse of the Research Management Directive, Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC), and Research Governance Officer (RGO) Standard Operating Procedures, guaranteeing that these frameworks align seamlessly with the evolving landscape of clinical research.

A significant aspect of your responsibilities will be the design and implementation of tailored educational initiatives.

These programs will empower researchers, study coordinators, HREC Administrators, and RGOs, enabling them to conduct their research endeavours efficiently while upholding the highest ethical standards mandated by the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework.

Simultaneously, your support for stakeholder networks engaged in multi-centre research and sponsored clinical trials across Australia will be foundational in advancing the realm of clinical research, contributing significantly to scientific knowledge and healthcare improvements.

The successful personTo excel in this position, you must highlight your proficiency as a state-wide research management expert, providing professional guidance and consultation on research ethics matters to both internal and external stakeholders of Queensland Health.

Your history should include adeptly coordinating clinical trials research and skilfully negotiating research contracts and agreements.
Furthermore, your expertise should extend to offering top-tier advice to staff and researchers, fostering their comprehension of clinical trials.

Your ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, set priorities, and collaborate effectively within a team context is crucial for making meaningful contributions to organizational goals.

Additionally, your adeptness in managing stakeholder relationships is pivotal, enabling you to facilitate smooth business transformations.

This includes your capacity to openly consult, negotiate, and influence key stakeholders at various levels, from the organizational and state levels to national, sector, and industry levels, ensuring the achievement of desired outcomes.
