Victorian Heart and Lung Clinic is a private cardiology practice providing a complete spectrum of advanced cardiovascular care in Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

With six locations across Metropolitan Melbourne and Gippsland, we provide patients with specialised inpatient and outpatient heart and lung care and long term management of their condition.

The Practice is seeking an enthusiastic part-time person to join the team and take on the role of Medical Receptionist.

The person filling this position needs to be capable of handling a stressful environment at any given time in order to serve patients, medical staff, requests and inquiries as they come in.

The position may suit students pursuing studies in health care, SEN's or other individuals with some experience in a health care environment.

The position will be predominantly based at Noble Park but some travel to Cabrini Hospital in Malvern will also be required.

Salary range is $26-$30 per hour based on experience.

Skills needed for the position include

• Multitasking to balance responsibilities between patient needs and doctor availability
• Time management skills for maintaining the focus of office staff and keeping pace with daily tasks
• Understanding of healthcare terminology for relaying medical data
• Excellent communication and people skills and a pleasant demeanor
• Experience in scheduling and tracking patient information/appointments and maintaining supplies.
• Understanding of Privacy Rules, patient rights, and how to communicate medical histories. Data entry skills like using electronicmedical record keeping via cloudbased software (Clinic to Cloud)

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Salary:
$ $30.00 per hour


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
As the position is primarily based at Cabrini Hospital, Malvern, masks are still currently mandated.


Experience:

• Medical admin: 1 year (preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
