Reporting to the General Manager, an opportunity exists for an experienced Underground Mine Manager to join the Oaky Creek Coal Leadership Team.


In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Formulating and maintaining an Inspection system for all places in the mine;
  • Provide input to short, medium and long term mine plans and be active in communicating requirements to direct reports and adherence to an agreed direction;
  • Assist in developing the annual business plan and budget;
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of business cost drivers to achieve optimal outcomes for the operation;
  • Work with Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager and Department Managers toward the achievement of production and other targets across the operation.

About you:

  • Class 1 Mine Manager Certificate of Competency (QLD) (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated leadership and achievement of operating targets including previous experience working in a senior operations role associated with a medium to large size mining business;
  • Ability to influence and drive change
  • Appreciation of the big picture
  • High levels of resourcefulness, initiative, personal organisation, and diplomacy
  • Advanced Analytical and problemsolving skills
