Administration Supervisor, Clerk Grade 3/- Silverwater Parole Unit

Salary:
$75,992 pa - $83,211 pa + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading


Position Type:
Ongoing Full Time - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm

About the role


The Administration Supervisor coordinates the administration team to directly provide quality customer administration, and support services to a broad range of stakeholders including but not limited to, staff in the office/hub, other agencies, members of the public and government agencies.

The role ensures effective administration services are delivered to facilitate the efficient operation of the Community Corrections office / hub


Essential requirements

  • Current driver's licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role
  • Experience providing high level administration and clerical support and excellent client services.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • 2 + years' experience in an administration supervisory position
  • Fundamental understanding of resource allocation, planning and organisation, support to operations
  • Demonstrate skills in communicating with multiple stakeholders and coordinating team efforts to achieve mutual goals and outcomes
  • Evaluate current operations to identify and implement process improvements
  • Have a willingness to learn new skills and be able to handle crucial information with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities includes.

  • Interpret, explain, and implement departmental policies, procedures, and quality/service standards to staff
  • In a highvolume environment, identify and prioritise tasks within the team and allocate resources to meet daily goals
  • Perform full spectrum of supervisory functions, including personnel administration, assigning, and monitoring workload, training and managing performance.
  • Liaise with various internal departments and external agencies in order to progress business
  • Maintain records, including inventory, personnel, orders, supplies, and maintenance documentation using a database or word processing
  • Ensure timely response to customer requests, both internal and external

About Us


Silverwater Parole Unit is a large Community Corrections office within the Metropolitan West District it oversees the releases of inmates over four correctional centres and one transitional centre.

There are parole offices at four of the five centres. These centres vary in levels of security and type of inmates housed.
