**The Round is seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar and Front of House (FOH) Supervisor to join our team.

The Round is owned and operated by Whitehorse City Council, a leader in the provision of arts and cultural services in the eastern region.

Opened in September 2023, The Round is an innovative, versatile and inspiring cultural venue set in an expansive parkland setting


The facility offers:

  • Largescale theatrical performances and intimate shows across two theatres
  • A functions centre banquet style seating up to 300 people and auxiliary meeting rooms
  • Local festivals in the natural amphitheatre
  • Community classes in purposebuilt spaces

The role:


The Bar and Front of House (FOH) Supervisor will ensure a welcoming environment, attractive presentation and smooth operation of Front of House areas at The Round, Whitehorse City council's state-of-the-art performing arts and function centre.

They will ensure a high quality customer experience for visitors, patrons, hirers and stakeholders of the venue.


About you:


  • A relevant degree or diploma with some relevant work experience or lesser formal qualifications with relevant skills.
  • Knowledge and skills in providing a high quality customer experience, preferably in a commercial hospitality or performing arts environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff.
  • Excellent verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, suppliers, artists and venue hirers with ability to gain their cooperation when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver efficient, responsive and highly organised front of house operations including the ability to resolve problems as they arise using
sound judgement.
