Description
We are seeking a medical receptionist to join our growing team. This is a permanent part time position offering approximately 21 rostered hours per week. Previous experience in similar role and familiarity with Best Practice will be advantageous.

The role involves supporting the clinical staff, assisting patients, as well as various administrative tasks.

A general practice is a fast paced environment so you will need to be able to work under pressure and multi task.

You will need to be able to follow directions, adhere to policy and procedures, and have strong team work ethics.

- managing telephone and patient enquires, scheduling appointments for patients within the practice, billings, messages, and other general administrative duties

  • Medicare, overseas health cover and private billings
- ensuring the medical centre is clean, tidy and presentable
- communicating with a diverse range of health professionals.


To be considered for this role applicants must have the following:

  • professional and personable telephone manner
- proficient computer skills
- demonstrated initiative, time management and flexibility
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- high standard of presentation and attention to detail.
