Our client is a well-established ASX100 business headquartered in Brisbane.

Currently experiencing substantial growth, this complex and fast-paced business has some great opportunities for an ambitious finance professional to progress their career in many directions.

The role of Internal Audit Department is to provide independent and objective assurance of risk, controls and governance to the Executive Leadership Team and Audit and Risk Committee of the Board.

About the role

The Internal Audit Supervisor is responsible for the execution of the Internal Audit Plan across planning, fieldwork, draft deliverables and close-out activity.

You will provide management and the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee with independent, objective and high-quality assurance and advisory services designed to assess and improve the internal control environment.

Perform planned internal audits across the Group operations;
Perform ad-hoc management requested investigations, control reviews and advisory reviews;
Lead audit planning, develop and agree the objective, scope and approach to address the needs of the relevant stakeholders;
Plan for, and deliver, high quality internal audit engagements on time and within budget;
Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls over key business process risks;
Identify the root cause of issues identified and develop pragmatic recommendations to address the identified business risks; and

Develop and present high-quality deliverables, both oral and written to management.

Public practice (Big 4) first movers encouraged to apply.

To be successful you will have relevant tertiary qualifications, a strong background in risk management and internal controls with extensive internal audit experience.

You will have the ability to identify process risks and controls across a range of financial and complex operational business processes and excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
