The Data Enablement team are accountable for shaping and growing effective data usage across Transurban.

As we continually strive to innovate and push boundaries on what is possible, this role will see you doing just that, by partnering with the business and data analytics team.

You will play a key role in managing the Data lifecycle and keeping Transurban's Data safe.

With a strong focus in shaping, changing and delivery of the data management roadmap to improve and enhance the value and re-usability of data, through modern and evolving data management practices and frameworks.

Specifically, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the enterprise data model and catalogue with responsibilities including implementation and coordination of physical, logical, and conceptual data models, architecture, quality, and ensuring data is discoverable, understandable, trusted and used safely.

The impact you'll have

  • Build out business data glossaries, data definitions and data catalogue so that information is easy to find, use and trusted
  • Creation and maintenance of artefacts relating to data models (e.g. mapping of data, Data Dictionaries, Change Registers etc.)
  • Rapidly understand business requirements and map them into logical and physical data models within relevant modelling tools
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Solution Architects, Data Governance Manager, and the Information Manager to contribute to metadata harvesting activities.
  • Track status and report on progress of cataloguing Transurban's Data Domains to peers and senior business stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the implementation of enterprise data asset standards, and in the implementation of related data asset governance processes
The talents you'll bring

  • Demonstrable experience in developing, validating, publishing, maintaining LOGICAL data models with exposure to or experience in developing, validating, publishing, maintaining PHYSICAL data models
  • Demonstrable experience using data modelling and cataloguing tools e.g., ErWin, Collibra
  • Demonstrable experience in developing, publishing, and maintaining all documentation for data
  • Experience working with large, complex enterprises, and working with data architects, modellers, and data governance to investigate and understand the complexities of the data.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical skills, and employ judgment to offer thoughtful, concise input toward resolutions of problem
  • Selfstarter, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
