Maintenance Planner - Mackay, Australia - UGL

UGL Industrials & Resources are seeking applicants from experienced Maintenance Planners based in Central Queensland for an ongoing maintenance contract. Mechanical or Electrical background required.

This positionwill see you join a reputable company with a highly experienced team who work together to develop and provide solutions for our customers.

The roles are onsite, working 9-days a fortnight, travelling in and out on paid time, DIDO. Remuneration is highly competitive

About the role

As a key member of the team, your leadership skills will ensure that all work meets the standards in relation to safety, quality, schedules, and cost.

The role will involve:

• Planning and coordination of outages, shutdowns and maintenance days with various vendors and suppliers involved in the delivery of the maintenance plan
• Work with the onsite team of operators and maintainers
• Review maintenance orders and work through with stakeholders the prioritization and scheduling of works
• Planning tasks including risk assessment, isolations planning, vendor coordination and management, parts coordination and purchasing
• Execute the maintenance event as they occur, including onsite meetings, field leadership, risk assessment review and isolations planning

About You

You will inspire your team, draw on their diverse skills and create environments where great ideas are heard, and everyone looks out for one another. Ideally you will have:

• Accepts HSE ownership & accountability
• Ability to work with minimal supervision both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational skills in planning and scheduling
• Strong working knowledge and use of maintenance scheduling and planning software (JDE/SAP)
• Strong communication - both written & oral presentation skills
• Encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement

Required qualifications and education requirements

• Engineering qualifications – Mechanical or Electrical - (Preferred, not essential)
• A thorough understanding of planning and execution activities
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a maintenance planning and reliability functions
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of JDE/SAP or similar maintenance software
