    • Your new opportunity:

    The team at Penske Australia have an opening for a trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic to join their experienced Mackay Off Highway Field Service Team based in Mackay to support our installed product base.

  • Diverse service work including diagnosis, servicing and minor/major repairs.
  • Compile high quality field service and job reports to facilitate clear provision of information to customers and/or warranty department.
  • Ability to work cooperatively on sites with both Customer and Equipment suppliers on a daily basis and liaise with maintenance planners to ensure scheduled equipment maintenance is carried out.
  • Provide technical assistance as required.
  • Actively contribute towards an ongoing improvement culture in the safety, quality and productivity of the team.

    • About you:

  • Trade Qualification's (Diesel Mechanic) or similar.
  • Extensive' experience in the maintenance of mobile equipment in a mining or heavy industry environment - in particular Diesel Engines.
  • Have a strong background maintaining, servicing and repairing trucks and heavy vehicles;
  • Experience in understanding and interpreting fault code data and machine information
  • Ability to understand and action technical product information.
  • Demonstrated skills in understanding customer support requirements.
  • Detailed practical working knowledge and operation of appropriate PPS machinery, tools and equipment - in particular MTU engines.
  • Current coal board medical.
  • Current Standard 11 including BMA.
