Overview
Utilise your expertise in data analytics, research and reporting to support our User Experience Design team.

Working in a lean, agile, and customer focused environment, you'll use your research, analysing data and digital skills with user design thinking, to continuously improve the end-to-end digital user experience.


The User Experience Team directs and undertakes research and human-centred design activities on digital products, contributing to the department's aim for consistent and user-friendly online services.

As the Junior Research Analyst, you will conduct user research and testing, analyse results and share insights with the team.

The role champions quality and consistent user experience with business partners and across the digital services team.


Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct and analyse user research to evaluate existing websites and intranets.
  • Validate new ideas, features and products with user testing.
  • Work with digital experience team to create user journey and / or service design maps where required.
  • Create reports to inform and influence usercentred design by reviewing and analysing visitor behaviour through heatmapping and metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to understand business requirements and ensure clear communication and sharing of user research.

Essential Criteria
years experience in a research or analyst role, ideally in websites, digital or user experience.

  • Experience with Google Analytics / Adobe Analytics and heat mapping tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is required.
  • Comfortable with user research workshops and translating notes from meetings to create presentable reports that are clear and accurate.
  • Have a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement, relationship building and general administration tasks.
  • Ability to research the latest technologies, best practices, and online trends to provide recommendations for the team.
  • Digital experience with websites and intranets and a passion for understanding customer motivations and business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience or working knowledge with Figma / Miro / Adobe.
