About the role


To support our success we are looking for a
Compliance Manager to join our Risk & Compliance team based in our
Brisbane head office.


As Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the various components of Australian Retirement Trust's Risk Management Frameworks (RMF), and particularly the compliance policies, are embedded within the 1st line business units.


You will provide the business with comprehensive analysis and guidance to enable compliance with existing and changing regulatory obligations, as well as advice and support to Australian Retirement Trust business units to promote effective risk management and a healthy compliance culture.


In this role you will play an integral part in ensuring that the Australian Retirement Trust boards and entities continually meet their license and regulatory obligations.

This includes obligations relating to the APRA, ASIC, OAIC, AUSTRAC, FSC and others.

This role is available as a
12 month fixed-term opportunity.


About you
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications will include:

  • Strong experience in risk management/compliance.
  • Knowledge of Corporations Act 2001, Corporations Regulations 2001 and ASIC Regulatory Guides.
  • Knowledge of regulatory bodies' (e.g. APRA, ASIC, AOIC, AUSTRAC, ACMA) policy and guidelines;
  • Knowledge of relevant standards for risk management and compliance.
  • Knowledge of industry association rules (particularly FSC, ASFA)
  • Ability to utilise expert technical knowledge of other laws relating to the Australian Retirement Trust
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry, preferably including superannuation, life insurance, financial planning and/or funds management.
