The Project:


BP is transforming its former oil refinery in Kwinana to an integrated energy hub, where it plans to produce biofuels and renewable hydrogen.

Worley is proud to be providing engineering services to the BP Kwinana Renewable Fuels Project and to contribute to a more sustainable world for a new era of renewable fuels.

The Kwinana Renewable Fuels Project is one of bp's five biofuel projects across the globe as BP aim's to produce around 100,000 barrels of biofuels per day by 2030.

Responsibilities will include:


  • Deliver discipline specific design and drafting services that meet Worley, the client's and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and supervise, design and drafting assignments on projects requirements on time and within budget.
  • Perform discipline specific design and drafting services such as
:

a) ensure the project scope is clear and that changes to scope comply with project change management processes;
b) if required, participate in studies and analyses and recommend actions;
c) prepare and oversee the production of engineering drawings and documentation;
d) ensure all drawings and documents are checked in accordance with Worley checking procedures; and

e) participate in project reviews as required.

  • Provide technical support, supervision and advice to the discipline team and project teams, participate in peer reviews, and consult relevant resources as required.
  • Keep uptodate with the latest developments and technical innovations in the discipline.
  • Where required, prepare or assist in the preparation of project documentation such as budgets, estimates, forecasts, schedules and reports.
  • Highly effective technical and practical design and drafting skills in the relevant discipline, and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.
  • Competent in the use of relevant software such as Microstation 2D & 3D, S3D, OpenPlant and highly competent in the use of these design software.

About you:


  • A recognised design qualification in the relevant discipline or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in an Oil & Gas setting
  • Supervise and Monitor / Train and performance appraisals of Designers
  • Experienced in Review of design works and perform tasks within the approved budgets
  • Sound experience on Offshore and Onshore Pipeline Route surveys, Study and Produce route alignment drawings, Pipeline crossing configurations drawings, Tiein spools, etc.
  • Experienced in Pipeline construction drawings, etc
  • Experienced in Material Takeoff and Quantity Surveying, Bill of Materials etc.
  • Produce work packs & drawings.
  • Ensure that the level of design work is appropriate for the complexity of the construction tasks.
  • Knowledge of document control drawing systems.


  • Quality Assurance

  • Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc


  • Safety

  • Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
