APS- Coordinator, Trove Data and Platforms:

  • Support the GLAM sector share their collections with the world through Trove
  • Participate in improving Trove as the premier Australian discovery service
  • Support National, State and Territory libraries build the national collection through the National eDeposit service


The Coordinator, Data Support undertakes work that is moderately complex in nature and be able to work under limited direction.

They will coordinate the day-to-day activities within the Data and Platforms section.

You will provide expertise that contributes to the outcomes of the team and Branch and is accountable for your own tasks and decisions


These include:

  • Aggregating data from Trove Collaborative Services members, including liaising with partners, analysing and transforming data to suit Trove, undertaking data maintenance activities, and exporting data.
  • Managing partner access to Trove modules (eg. LADD).
  • Contributing to the continual improvement for all Trove service users by identifying bugs and enhancements, contributing to business analysis, and undertaking user acceptance testing.
  • Providing input to policy development.
  • Providing high level customer support to Trove Collaborative Services members, their related industry bodies and advisory/working groups as well as vendors/providers.
  • Liaising with National Library of Australia colleagues to ensure the continued movement of high quality data through systems.
You must have experience with systems managing descriptive metadata in galleries, libraries, archives, museums or research libraries.

It is desirable if you hold qualifications or equivalent experience in Information Management or Information Technology.


A merit pool may be established and used to fill similar vacancies during the subsequent 18 month period from the date of advertising.
