The Role
Bylaser is currently seeking a
Sheet Metal Laser Operator to join our team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Efficient running of CO2 and Fibre lasers at optimum efficiency;
Ensure production schedule is followed through as allocated;
Uploading and editing where necessary the files provided by programming;
Check quality of parts, ticking off orders;
Making sure all parts are cut, stacked and packed;
Ensuring all necessary paperwork and record keeping is done neatly, legibly and in a timely manner;
Wrapping of pallets ready for dispatch;
Keeping workplace clean and tidy.

About You

Previous experience with fibre and CO2 lasers (Bystronic preferred);
Have programming, nesting experience using software;
Experience with hand tools and other auxiliary machinery;
Current Forklift licence;
Be physically fit and able to load and unload parts on and off the machines;
Be safety and quality oriented;
Have an excellent work ethic, being punctual and hard working with regular attendance;
Ability to work as part of a team;
Problem solving mindset;
Show attention to detail in the work performed;
Permanent residency or Australian citizenship status.
