ICT and Data Support Officer

_The Role_


This essential role in a small IT team will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of the ICT environment as well as assisting teachers, administration staff and students in the use and upkeep of technology.

Role also involves handling data security, management and cleansing tasks for the benefit of administration, marketing and teaching initiatives.

This position is within a small, K-6 school environment in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.


_Key Responsibilities:
_


  • Provide technology support
  • Proactive maintenance of IT facilities in the College
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems
  • Classroom assistance with technology
  • Server and backup system maintenance including developing and testing Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Multimedia/Audio Visual setup in classrooms
  • Laptop fleet maintenance (Windows 10/11 and MacBook Air) incl. completing the integration of Microsoft InTune.
  • Ongoing management of all iPads and use of JAMF Pro and Apple School Manager.
  • Asset management tasks of ICT equipment including audio visual, laptops, iPads and accessories.
  • Coordination of device repairs and replacements.
  • Routine maintenance and monitoring of computer systems, networks, and servers
  • Documentation of ICT systems and guides for staff and students.

_Essential Skills:
_


  • MS Windows 10 and Apple iOS support experience, with MacOS support experience preferred.
  • Understanding of ICT infrastructure core to an environment including wireless networks and Windows Server platforms and Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management platforms such as Microsoft InTune or JAMF Pro.
  • Audiovisual skills including basic movie editing, projectors, Smartboards and sound systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with managing data for entry into database systems, ideally with Student Management Systems such as TASSWeb.
  • Experience working within an ICT service desk or similar ICT support role _(desirable)_
  • Apple's Suite, and Microsoft Office presentation skills
  • Understanding of networking including wireless and internet support.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Python, R, Tableau).

_Education and Experience:
_


  • IT related qualifications or certifications (CompTIA, A+, Apple Certified Support Professional, JAMF Level 1 Certification).
  • Microsoft Certified Associate or similar qualifications in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI
  • Tertiary qualifications preferred but work experience will be taken into account.
  • Have or be willing to submit for a valid NSW Working With Children Checks.
  • Networking Certifications (CCNA, Network+)
