WHAT'S THE ROLE ABOUT?


We are looking for a strategic, proactive and motivated person to join our leadership team, responsible for managing our Supported Living sites in Pymble, St.

Ives and Blacktown and Community Hub in Beaumont Hills.

As a Manager you will be responsible for leading services that are flexible and person centred in their approach, as well as directing and coordinating the operation of the service to, ensure high performance, efficiency and profitability.

We encourage you to be creative, flexible and innovative in exploring different ways to help people to grow into their full potential, creating opportunities for the people we support while guiding your team to perform their best within the values of the organisation.

You will require a strong background working in a similar role and able to add value with your strategic planning and influencing ability.


THE ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


  • Lead and work with the Team Leaders to develop and implement innovative services that enable and encourage active participation of clients in service planning, delivery, and policy matters that affect their lives and help them achieve their personal goals
  • In consultation with the General Manager, drive the development of Unisson Disability in identified growth areas including the identification, acquisition and implementation of new funding opportunities
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of people at the workplace by complying with the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2012. Report and monitor safety processes in accordance with procedures
  • Committed to lead a team of employees, offering continuous support and on the job coaching to ensure they have the skills and capacity to fulfil the responsibilities and achieve their best
  • Provide advice and direction on complex and sensitive matters as they arise

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:


  • Previous leadership experience (at least 2 years)
  • Commitment to the values, vision and mission of the organisation including leadership and implementation
  • Sound knowledge of general business practice
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
  • Outstanding planning and organising skills demonstrating initiative when working without direct supervision
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop these skills in others
  • Emotional intelligence, resilience and physical capacity to perform the work required
  • An understanding of an adherence to working within personal and professional boundaries in a multicultural environment
  • Initiative and selfmotivation
  • Personal and professional integrity
  • Sound understanding of the NDIS
