Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team.

The Mechanical Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and equipment, contributing to commitment to excellence and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components, including gears, bearings, shafts, and valves.
Conduct preventative maintenance activities according to established schedules to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment lifespan.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and efficiency.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment as needed.
Provide technical support and guidance to production staff to optimize machine operation and productivity.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in mechanical maintenance to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or relevant certification.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required.
