As part of the Capital Structuring division, Structured Asset Finance (SAF) creates innovative and customised finance solutions for large ticket assets.

SAF is tailored to meet clients' specific cash flow, asset risk, regulatory, legal, tax and accounting requirements.

Specialising in financing movable fixed assets such as; trains, aircraft, ships, and key income generating assets as well as new economy assets such as renewable energy assets.

SAF has both national and international capabilities with teams based in Australia, Europe, Asia and the US.


Do work that matters


We currently have an opportunity for a talented Financial Modeller at a Senior Associate level to join our Capital Structuring team supporting Structured Asset Finance transactions in Sydney.

The role will see you provide financial & quantitative analysis on complex transactions an outstanding opportunity for career development.


You will work within the Financial Analysis modelling team supporting the SAF team, with responsibility from a financial and quantitative perspective for the analysis and structuring of highly complex corporate finance transactions including leasing and asset-backed transaction models.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Perform analysis of the financial viability of projects using either externally provided financial models or by writing the appropriate model
  • Price new corporate finance transactions including lease structures and provide forecasts of transaction specific financial results using Excel
  • Provide model outputs to assist with the commercial & risk management review process
  • Contribute to idea generation, knowledge capture and continuous improvement
  • Develop effective working relationships and demonstrate reliability and trust and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Continue personal development training/development through internal and external courses to ensure personal growth opportunities

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Highly numerate individual with excellent academics in a relevant tertiary qualification e.g. actuarial studies, mathematics or engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA programming experience
  • 3+ years' experience in institutional, investment banking or related field with exposure to corporate finance, risk management, credit and or financial market transaction structuring
  • Good knowledge of financial instruments and lending products/services
