Location:
Inner City Office


Salary:
$150,000 - $170,000 per annum + superannuation

Role Overview:

As the Sustainability & Social Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in driving their commitment to environmental sustainability and social impact.

Your primary focus will be to develop and implement strategies that support their business needs and desires to be at the forefront of environmentally sustainable practices and social procurement integration.

By championing sustainability and social responsibility, you will position the client as the preferred builder of choice in the B2B market.


Key Responsibilities

Sustainability & Social Procurement Action Plan

  • Assess business needs, create, develop and mange the clients Action Plan
  • Understand market segment expectations of best practice
  • Communicate status updates to Directors

Administrator of the Sustainability & Social Procurement (Sharepoint) Hub platform

  • Administrator of the Hubs
  • Maintain Hub data to reflect current market/sector relevant info
  • Maintain Hub data to represent business initiatives
  • Maintain archived data

Procurement framework

  • Review, establish & maintain a procurement framework for Sustainability & Social Procurement

Supplier/Trade Register

  • Explore, assess supplier and trade current sustainability and social responsibility practices.
  • Develop and maintain Register with content suitable to guide procurement decisions in line with the Procurement framework & policy

ESG Declarations

  • Assist in preparing ESG & Social Procurement Declarations for clients, Government, as required.
  • Assist to produce client project handover information
  • Assist with tender responses

Requirements:


Technical capabilities (Skills and Experience)

  • Demonstrated experience in the Sustainability sector
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders at various levels, both internally and externally with professionalism, sound judgement, diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Proven administrative and organisational skills, and ability to multitask and prioritise a varied workload and deliver effectively to agreed deadlines.
  • General understanding of construction terminology and new build process

  • Experience in establishing, maintaining database
  • Familiarity with Sustainability certifications in the building sector
  • Familiarity with product sustainability certifications
  • Experience in Procurement
