Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Technical Support Engineer to join MicroChannel headquarters in Sydney and support teams in the delivery of server, network & desktop support services and installing, maintaining, and servicing computer-related products.

This will mostly include but will not be limited to desktop & laptop computers, printers, basic network devices & troubleshooting client profiles, MS office software & tailor-made software within the environment.


Must have experience with handling ticket queues, managing workload through support ticket systems and time tracking for all support related work.

Opportunities exist to work on project work along with helpdesk support.


To be successful in this role, you will have undertaken (or be undertaking) relevant IT Qualifications/Courses (A+, MCP, Certificate III in IT for example) & possess experience in an IT Support role.

Your IT support knowledge will be broad, covering software, hardware, network & also installations.


Required skills and experience:

  • Experience in supporting desktops both hardware and software
  • Experience supporting Windows 10, with strong VPN and networking skills
  • Basic troubleshooting and repair ability of laptops and desktops
  • Ability to test PC and associated peripherals
  • Ability to physically carry and move computer equipment within Workplace Health & Safety limits
  • Demonstrated high level of customer satisfaction skills
  • Clear & concise written & verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Server administration
  • Exchange Online administration
  • Microsoft Active Directory administration, Group Policy
  • An understanding of networking, switching and firewalls
  • Backup system Veaam
  • VOIP Phone System support
  • Office 365 Administration, Intune and Mobile Device Management


You will have exposure to the latest Microsoft cloud products and a network spanning over 5 countries and 8 different office locations.

Your personality must be suitable for a fast-paced demanding support desk role with the ability to support technically minded consultants and other IT professionals.
