Accounts Assistant

Our client, based in the Nerang area is seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to oversee accounts, claims and assist with project administration in a full time permanent role for their civil works company.

We are seeking a person experienced in accounts that is interested in a more diverse role that will also give you the opportunity to support civil and construction project accounts.

Whilst we are seeking an accounts assistant, it could also suit a contracts administrator, project administrator or someone who has worked in similar support roles.

Our client is also open to a permanent part time person if that works better for your personal situation.

You will be involved in multiple projects with tasks including:

Accounts payable and receivable data entry to MYOB and assisting with end of month activities
Project claims responsible for putting claims together and submitting along with all compliance documentation
Quotation /Bill of Quantities assistance creating/editing of quotes, adding diagrams and marking up plans
Customer service answering office phone calls and general support
Checking builder's claim assessments and reporting to management for discussion of any variances. Following up builder's CA's if overdue
Maintaining project claim calculation summaries
Subcontractor claims checking subcontractor claims against project budget/allowance
At least 2 years' experience in a similar role or accounts, projects administration, contracts administration positions
Experience working within a civil or construction company would be ideal
Experience in MYOB
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Paint
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good analytical and problem solving ability
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
A selfmotivated approach
