Manage property accounts with one direct report

The Business

One of Australia's most successful private property groups based in Sydney has a national portfolio of commercial and retail assets.

This centre is the jewel in the crown of their retail portfolio, based in South Canberra. Owing to an imminent maternity leave transition, a vacancy is available for a nine-month fixed-term period as Accounts Manager

About the Role:

The contract initially commences in May, however, an initial handover period can commence in the weeks or month/s prior.

With one direct report, you will be working as part of a fun and dynamic customer-driven team that aims to create a true retail destination for the local community.

This role will involve overseeing the Financial Accounting and Reporting for the centre; providing advice to enable the successful operations of the centre.

Key Duties:

Control of all debtors and creditors
Raising and approving invoices
Completing weekly/month payroll
Weekly and monthly reporting
Annual budgeting
MRI Lease maintenance

What you will bring:

Ideally have prior experience in retail, commercial, or hospitality industries in an accounting capacity.
Qualifications in accounting or a similar discipline are preferred but not essential
Advanced Excel skills
Experience using accounting systems
Strong Financial/ Commercial Acumen
Be a highly motivated team player
Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal

The role pays a salary package of $105k per year and will be paid directly by the employer.

The role cannot be done remotely, it is a requirement to be based on-site for you to gain the best exposure and knowledge of the centre as this will support your growth in this key role.
