UGL Utilities are looking for a
Mechanical Fitter to join the
Hunter Power Project Team.


The Hunter Power Project is the construction of a 660MW Power Station comprising of two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines.

Located in the in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, 35 km west of Newcastle.


About You:


  • Fit mechanical plant (pumps, valves, pipework, rotating equipment etc.)
  • Read and interpret drawings supplied by a supervisor or client representative.
  • Follow written and/or verbal instructions provided by a supervisor client's representative.
  • Care and maintain tools and equipment necessary to carry out all tasks.

Key Requirements:


  • Hold a Trade Certificate Mechanical qualification
  • Hydraulic experience desirable
  • Rotating turbine experience desirable
  • Flange management desirable
  • Driver's License
  • Construction experience desirable
  • Heavy industry experience
