This role offers an opportunity to enter a unique business that has successfully grown over 35 years and is now the leading expert in providing traffic control services to the film and event industries in and around Sydney.

You would be the eighth member of a dynamic management team that has decades of experience to learn from.

The position is full-time office based with the need for overtime at short notice and planned weekend work.


We provide Traffic Planning and Implementation of those plans, for Film & Events such as 1⁄2 Marathon, VIVID, City 2 Surf, Cycling events and many more.

Therefore, some weekend work is required and advanced computer skills for Word, Excel and PDF is a must.


This is an opportunity for an aspiring business manager with a long-term view to learn from the ground up to eventually becoming a senior manager.


Your first month will be going out on the road with our traffic control teams and learning from our friendly and very experienced team leaders what we do.

Then once you have gained an initial understanding of our business you will come into the office to assist in administerial duties for rostering, timesheet data entering and distributing job sheets including maps and briefs to the traffic teams, along with other administrative tasks as required.


You will also be required to assist the HR Manager with tasks associated with recruiting and entering new employees into the system, requesting and recording staff availability for large events.

So interpersonal skills should be excellent.


You will be expected to go out on the road to keep your skills up, in order to assist the Management team on large projects on weekends.

This is a challenging role that demands dedication and long hours at times.

The right person will want that challenge and succeed in showing themselves to be a huge support to the company and grow with the company into a leading role within five years.

There is a base salary as advertised with additional remuneration offered for the extra hours, and bonuses based on company profits.


What we are looking for:


  • Previous experience in a busy, fastpaced office environment
  • Excellent and strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Advanced computer skills including experience using Microsoft Word Suite and data entry
  • Customer service skills including impeccable phone and inperson manner when liaising with clients and staff
  • Demonstrated understanding of time management and task prioritisation
  • Intermediate mathematical skills

What you will be doing:


  • Assisting with Rostering & Allocating Staff.
  • Compiling daily job sheets with relevant TGS's & Permits.
  • Assisting the HR Manager with recruitment & setting up new employees.
  • Assisting with coordinating staff training & team building programs.
  • Checking infrastructure and equipment lists for projects and events.
  • Assist in setting up for events and projects e.g. staff information packs, team leader boxes, radios and any other equipment required.
  • Undertake other general office administration tasks allocated by Managers.

You must have:
- rights to work full-time in Australia

  • Class C Full Drivers Licence
- evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination

Salary:
$62, $65,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Flexible hours
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

COVID-19 considerations:

Experience:

Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
