With over 60 years experience in the market and boasting a reputation for excellence, the organisation is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their supportive and close-knit team. This position is covering for an internal employee who is moving into a project role for the next 6 months. Located in the CBD, this position is a great opportunity for a payroll officer looking for their next challenge.
Position Description
***Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager and working within a team of 5, your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- End to end weekly and monthly payroll processing for 3000 employees
- Handling employee queries
- Processing new starters, terminations, and payroll adjustments
- Assisting with processing of superannuation, payroll tax/PAYG
- Assisting with process improvement across both the payroll and time and attendance systems
- Payroll reporting as well as;
- Other ad hoc duties assigned by your Manager
- Experience working within medium/large scale organisations
- SAP and/or Kronos experience would be advantageous, though not essential
- Excellent communication skills and a reliable attitude
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
- Strong attention to detail and positive working approach
