About the client
Our client is a family-owned and locally operated business that manufactures and supplies quality mining and mineral processing equipment.

Since its establishment in 2000, its expertise has expanded to meet the increasing client demand for design, manufacture, installation, call-out maintenance, spare parts, training and inspection services.

Currently, they provide conveyors, frames, pulleys, conveyor idlers, conveyor scrapers, vibrating screens, feeders and crushers to gold, lithium and mineral sands clients.

They continue to execute projects with quality, a fast response time and excellent customer service.

They are seeking a
Purchasing / Admin Officer to join their team based in
Welshpool, WA.

About the role

Reporting to the Capital Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the procurement of equipment for projects, spare parts and workshop consumables, while also coordinating the supply chain for multiple projects.

Working collaboratively with their team of 15 staff members, you will liaise with stakeholders to identify the workload of fabricators and consequently, equipment lead times.

This knowledge will assist you in adhering to the time frame and budget requirements for each project.

Some other tasks you will be responsible for are:


  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Creating the Bill of Materials
  • Requesting quotes from fabricators
  • Performing data entry into Ostendo
In addition to your core purchasing responsibilities, you'll have the opportunity to support other business functions during less busy periods


This will include:

  • Managing inventory and ensuring optimal stock levels
  • Preparing sales orders and quotes for clients and conducting followups
  • Checking project assembly in the storeroom
  • Adhoc duties to support the Managing Director

About you
You will ideally have experience in a similar purchasing role and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
