Description

The Associate Director Business Development (Defence and Aerospace) is a member of the Business Development and Industry Engagement team, reporting directly to the Director Business Development and Industry Engagement within the Innovation and Enterprise Portfolio.


The purpose of the role is to work across the University's research, development, and enterprise ecosystem driving, qualifying, and securing major new multidisciplinary collaborations with industry, government, business and community to maximise both the impact of our research and innovation - and achieve a commercial return.


The Associate Director Business Development will work across a designated industry sector spanning target constituencies and will bring the voice of the industry and customer to our internal teams.

Deploying sector-based sales strategies using business insight, thoughtful analysis, evaluation, workshops and reporting the role will enable knowledge-sharing and understanding of targeted ecosystem trends and competitors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
