Health Information Manager


In this position you will be part of a small team based at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and will assist in supporting the greater Sunshine Coast Network of hospitals.


About the Role(s)


You will also have access to a national network of health information managers, clinical documentation specialists and clinical coding education and auditing experts.


Reporting to the Director of Finance & Support Services and supported by the State Health Information Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join the Sunshine Coast Network to support key department functions.


About You


You will be a Health Information Manager with highly developed communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability engage and influence a range of stakeholders at all levels.


You will also demonstrate:

  • Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent
  • Membership (or eligible) with the HIMAA
  • Minimum 23 years clinical coding experience in a tertiary hospital utilising ICD10AM/ACHI/ACS
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Advanced data collection and analysis skills using Excel
  • Experience with patient administration system Meditech (desirable)

Remuneration
Will be based on experience level and qualifications.
