An exciting opportunity for an experienced, multi skilled Administrative Officer to join our Community Mental Health Team.

This role will manage our Outpatient reception and work closely with the clinicians to provide administrative support to facilitate appointments, inventory management and efficient overall functioning of the support services.

Where you'll be working
Primarily based at Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards with a capacity to cover Ryde Community as required


What you'll be doing

To assist and participate in the delivery of an efficient, effective and comprehensive community-based service in the North Shore Mental Health Teams.

This is achieved by managing a busy switchboard, answering general inquiries, referring intake matters appropriately, greeting consumers and other visitors, managing appointments and medical records, fulfilling general office duties, and undertaking delegated tasks requested by the Office Manager.

  • Demonstrated high level time management and organisational skills, with the ability to organise, effectively plan, prioritise and problem solve with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Highly professional phone manner and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a challenging environment.
