We are hiring an Operations Manager, who's primary purpose is to lead operations, drive performance, and support change initiatives across our Oncology NSW practice.


Reporting to the General Manager, the role has a broad mandate with key focus areas including day to day leadership and operational interface for practice staff, Support Services, and the national Oncology Australia operational team and providing commercial and people leadership across the GenesisCare performance framework.


Your key working relationships throughout GenesisCare will include;- NSW General Manager and Doctors- Oncology Australia Operations team- Centre Leaders from across GenesisCare- Shared Services teams (P&C, Finance, Payroll, Business Development)- External service providers e.g.

hospital partners, suppliers, landlords etc.


What you'll do:


Operational Management- Partner with the Oncology Australia team and Shared Services to deliver change initiatives designed to ensure ongoing improvements in service quality and patient care in line with the Oncology Service of the Future program.- Oversee the development of policies and process to ensure the business is compliant with regulatory requirements such as equipment, site and staff registration and licensing.- Act as first point of contact for shared services in relation to operational matters including P&C/IR issues, budgets and reporting.- Drive Patient Centric improvements with centre leaders in terms of patient experience, time to treat & patient wait times.

Commercial and Financial Leadership- Work with the GM to build clinical activity and reduce inefficiency and cost.

This will include overall leadership of debt management, and managing Direct Labour Hours (DLH).- Work with Shared Services to establish systems to monitor and identify emerging trends- Oversee the data capture and preliminary analysis of weekly and monthly activity data reporting, ensuring it is delivered on time including forecasting.- Responsible for partnering with Centre Leaders to match staffing with projected activity demand across the State.


Leadership- Inspire, motivate and lead a high performing multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes and the implementation of network business initiatives.- Participate in and encourage creative conflict, idea generation and respectfully challenging the status quo.- Proactively manage key talent through the identification of key positions, identification and development of talent and the design and implementation of succession plans.

- Service of the future; ensure high levels of employee engagement, Referrer satisfaction and mandatory training


Who you are:

  • Proven operational management experience in a health care environment (essential)
  • Experience in a cancer health service provider (desirable)
  • Strong financial skills and commercial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience leading commercial matters associated with procurement and major contracting arrangements including liaison with internal and external stakeholder groups including Government.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced and innovative environment.
  • Demonstrates experience in managing medium to large sized multidisciplinary teams.
