Overview


Are you an experienced Trainer/Assessor with a background in Civil Construction and traffic control? We are seeking a suitably qualified Trainer/Assessor to deliver traffic control and white card training and assessment services at our sites in Port Macquarie and Newcastle.


Primary Purpose of the Position


Deliver training and assessment services for qualifications in traffic control, implement traffic control plans, prepare a work zone traffic management plans and White Card (General Construction Induction Card).


Key accountabilities/responsibilities

  • Delivery of facetoface training and assessment to students
  • Contribute to and update training and assessment materials in line with industry standards and/or training package changes
  • Provide feedback on RTO course content and delivery to ensure quality training products
  • Mark student assessments and deliver encouraging feedback

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in training and assessment for traffic control and white card
  • Ability to integrate real life examples of industry experience and knowledge to support the student learning experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Student centred approach
  • Flexibility
  • Excellent planning and problemsolving skills
  • Understanding of RTO compliance framework
  • Willingness to learn and undertake professional development
  • SafeWork NSW High Risk Assessor accreditation is highly regarded

Qualifications

  • Hold either Cert IV TAE 40116 OR TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment PLUS the following units: TAELLN411 or equivalent and TAEASS502 or equivalent.
  • RIISS Traffic Controller Skill Set or equivalent
  • RIISS Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set
  • RIISS Traffic Management Designer Skill Set or equivalent
  • Have at least 2 3 years industry experience relevant to training
  • Hold the following qualifications and SafeWork (NSW) Cards
