The Opportunity


This rare senior leadership role is a unique opportunity for an experienced Health Information Manager to join the Healthscope team at a really exciting time.

Key milestones this role will play an integral part in include:

Healthscope's transition to a digital medical record, expansion of our coding education program and development of a National Clinical Documentation Improvement Program and Function.


The National Health Information Manager will lead compliance and performance of our Coding and Clinical Documentation across our broader Revenue Cycle.

This includes accountability over data governance, mandatory reporting, privacy and Clinical Documentation portfolios.

As a Healthcare leader reporting to the Group General Manager - Revenue Cycle Management, you will work with cross-functional Operational teams from across the organisation, including our 38 Hospitals, to influence change, develop frameworks, policies and guidelines to optimise the governance of Health Information management.


Backed by a team of Health Information Managers in every state and territory, this role is well supported at both an Operational and Strategic level.

About You


You will be a demonstrated people leader with significant experience in leading high performance teams at both an Operational and Strategic level.

You have considerable knowledge of health funding models, state and national health records legislation, clinical coding and documentation and leveraging data, analytics and reporting will ensure your success in this role.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Health Information Management (or equivalent)
  • More than 10 years' experience in highlevel leadership roles managing coding, HIS, auditing and / or quality functions in a health related setting.
  • Eligibility for full membership with the Health Information Management Association of Australia
  • Postgraduate Management qualifications in one of Business, Commerce, Education, Health Information or Clinical Coding (desired)
  • Leadership experience within the private health sector (desired)
