About the Client

One of Australia's largest and reputable Civil & Construction companies operating for over 30 years across construction, mining and infrastructure.

They work across various contracts ranging from $1 million through to $150 million and are on the growth trajectory. They are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team as a Field Service Technician. This position involves working on machinery across various See Civil sites in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and Northern NSW.

As a Field Service Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics of heavy machinery and equipment.

The role is primarily field-based, requiring travel to different locations, with Yatala serving as the base of operations.

What you will be doing
You will be required to work Monday - Friday working 10 hour days.

You will be responsible for yard based work including conducting routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy machinery and equipment including diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance tasks and collaborating with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize repair work.

You will also be required to conduct site based work including travelling to various sites in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Northern NSW to provide on site repairs and support.

A company vehicle, tools, and necessary equipment will be provided for field service operations.

What you will need

Minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar diesel fitter or heavy equipment maintenance role.

Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills for identifying and resolving equipment issues.

Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment components.

Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.

Welding experience, particularly oxy welding, is desirable but not essential.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a field service setting.

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

A company vehicle, tools, and necessary equipment will be provided for field service operations.
