About the role

The role will provide strategic and operational leadership and direction in Information Security governance, risk, policy and planning to ensure that Queensland Health's Information Security solutions and requirements are achieved and that information resources, particularly those critical to the functioning of West Moreton Health, are secured from threat while enabling the business to operate effectively.

This can be achieved through several initiatives including Training, Governance, Strategy and Architecture, Policy Development and Implementation, Risk Management, Audit and Assurance as well as Incident and Vulnerability Management.

About you

  • Proven ability to develop and communicate corporate information security policy, standards, and guidelines
(SFIA Code:

SCTY 6).

  • High level analytical, conceptual, and problem management skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of technical requirements and systems within a complex information and communication technology environment.
  • Experience in promoting and ensuring architectural principles are applied during design to reduce risk and drive adoption and adherence to policy, standards, and guidelines
(SFIA Code:

SCTY6).

  • Proven ability to manage and contribute to the development, publication, implementation, quality assurance and compliance to technical policies, standards, and procedures at an enterprise level
(SFIA Code:

CNSL 5; EMRG 5, QUST 4; CORE 3; QUAS 5).

  • Experience in developing, maintaining and testing Cyber Security incident management procedures in agreement with service owners
(SFIA Code:

USUP level 5).

  • Welldeveloped interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including the ability to influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions (

NHS:
Effective and strategic influencing, collaborative working).


Mandatory Requirements:


  • Vaccinated against COVID19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
