One of our clients are currently seeking a Planning Administration Officer to join their team on a Temporary basis. Reporting to the Coordinator Statutory Planning, the Planning Administration Officer will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Planning Services Team, and Land and

Key Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

  • Maintain the filing system and modification of property files within 'Authority'.
  • Coordinator administrative procedures for scheme amendments including advertising.
  • Coordinate property street addressing and liaise with external agencies.
  • Assist with Planning Department purchase requisitions.
  • Responsible for Planning Services Department file and archive registers.
  • Provide information and advice to the community, developers, applicants, Government agencies and other customers of the Statutory Planning Team.
  • Through the delivery of outstanding service, establish a reputation of customer service excellence throughout the organisation.
  • Follow all standard/safe operating procedures for the work area, in a manner that is consistent with the WHS Roles and Responsibilities Framework.
  • Perform other duties as directed when appropriate to the scope and level of this position.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience


Essential:

  • Developed time management and organisational skills.
  • Developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Developed negotiation, decision making and interpersonal skills.
  • Developed customer service skills.
  • Sound knowledge of MS office suite of products.
  • Able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • High level of keyboard/computer literacy.
  • Considerable experience in an administrative position, preferably within local government.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Council's role, organisational structure and functions.
  • Experience in town planning processes, procedures and practices.

Qualifications, Certifications and Licences:

Desirable:

  • Certificate III Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Current 'C' class driver's licence.
