Role Description/Criteria

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE


The Payroll Manager is responsible for preparing, processing, and maintaining payroll, superannuation, and taxation records in a timely and efficient manner.

The Payroll Manager works closely with the Director of Finance and Human Resources Manager to deliver high quality payroll services that contribute to the effective and efficient implementation of best practice Payroll practices that reflect the ethos and strategic direction of the College.


The Payroll Manager provides organisational support to the College with a high degree of accuracy, accountability, attention to detail and confidentiality.

The Payroll Manager's major areas of responsibility include undertaking the function of payroll preparation and maintenance.


The Payroll Manager is a key member of the Finance Team under the direction of and reporting directly to the Director of Finance.


MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The responsibilities of the Payroll Manager include but are not limited to:
i. Preparation and processing of fortnightly payroll including relevant leave and superannuation entitlements;

ii. Maintenance of the Payroll Database function;

iii. Responsibility for maintenance of CECV OSR and PRS, including OSR Census preparation and submission;

iv. performing other duties and implementing decisions as requested by the Principal or the College Improvement Team.
