A very reputable and consistently growing accounting firm, located in Melbourne CBD, is searching for an administrator with a positive can-do attitude and has previous experience in an accounting administrative role, to join their largest team.


The role will be assisting accountants and the wider team, and will require someone who is self-motivated, uses their initiative and has strong workflow management skills.

A good part of the role is interacting with clients so someone who is confident in calling and speaking with clients is a must.


The role

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Mail
  • Scanning, collating, letters and correspondence
  • Office caretaker: Presentation, cleanliness, meeting setup
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Events / marketing
  • Calendar management
  • Courier Organisation
  • Accounts Payable, Processing Payments and Receipts
  • Download ATO reports weekly
  • Client checklists
  • Database Management (Xero)
  • Minimum 1 years' experience as an administrator in an accounting firm desirable (or within professional services)
  • MS Office and Xero experience will be highly favourable (but not essential)
  • Experience in a client/customer service
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Very organised and a great multitasker
  • Collaborates and Solves problems can think outside the box
  • Positive attitude "no task is too small"
  • Enthusiastic individual who works well with deadlines
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
