This Victorian State Government Department is currently seeking a Safety Asvisor to commence asap to develop Emergency Management plans and ensure plans are in line with standards.


Proposed Key duties:

  • Organise and manage training sessions for Wardens
  • Assist with facilitation of training/evacuation exercises
  • Conduct site audits of all Gonverment buildings
  • Consult with other key stakeholders in Emergency Management (i.e SSP, Facilities)
  • Develop an Emergency Management committee producing relevant documents (Terms of Reference etc)
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards in Emergency Management practice
  • Provide assistance to the HSW team with other matters

Skills/experience we would like the person to have:

  • Experience or education in emergency management
  • A good understanding of the Australian Standards in Emergency Management practice
  • Great stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • Strong knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Government experience or Operational experience in an emergency management field is desirable
