Breaking Barriers Disability Services is an NDIS Registered Provider based on the Central Coast servicing all areas from Sydney through to Mid-North Coast.

We pride ourselves on providing person centered supports to our Participants through Community Access, In Home Supports, Social Supports, Coordination of Supports, SIL and Community Nursing.

Our Programs are tailored to provide people living with disabilities and their families, services to help them live safely and comfortably at home while actively enjoying their local Community.


We now have an opportunity for a Part Time Claims Officer to join our growing team based at our Wyong office.

The position will be 3 days per week and you will be responsible for making payment claims from the NDIS for supports provided by Breaking Barriers to our service users.


Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Collecting and checking approved data for claims.
  • Preparing and managing claims spreadsheets.
  • Following up and amending claims errors.
  • Use of NDIS Provider Portal and processes.
  • Keeping data records and tracking participant plan dates.
  • Accurate and prompt data entry into our database Dock'd.
  • Creating service summaries and agreements for new plans.
  • Flagging plans that are due for review or update with Management.
  • Creating and keeping updated records and/or service bookings.
  • Responding to enquiries about participants' available plan funds.
  • Maintaining current funding details and roster needs for participants.
  • Check and manage information relating to participants' NDIS funding.
  • Setting up quotes highlighting breakdown of funds and coordination of information.
  • Liaise with Support Coordinators and Team Leaders in preparing bookings and agreements.
  • Word processing of letters, service agreements, reports and other documents as required.
  • Provide updates and reports to Management on outstanding errors or any risks that may impact on the company.
  • Ensure you have current knowledge of NDIS standards, Disability Inclusion Act, NDIS Act and WH&S Legislation and implement any changes in standards of practice as required.
  • Follow Breaking Barriers Privacy & Confidentiality policy at all times.
  • Experience in disability Services
  • Experience in high volume data entry
  • Experience in preparing and monitoring a high volume of documentation
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Excellent teamwork skills

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Salary:
$ $30.00 per hour
