About the role
The role is focused on the delivery of clinical exercise training to oncology patients in an outpatient setting. This also includes the provision of indiviudal and group-based exercise training on a daily basis.
A regular day will see you:
- Perform assessments and design treatment interventions for cancer outpatients in both individual and group sessions
- Triage referrals for individual patients and schedule patients for individual and/or groupbased exercise training.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of evidencebased exercise training.
- Attend or contribute to multidisiciplinary team meetings and/or departmental meetings as required.
About you
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
- Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor and Masters Degree) in Clinical Exercise Physiology and current accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
- Minimum three years clinical experience as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist
- Specialist knowledge in Oncology and/or exercise prescription for individuals with chronic disease.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients & other health professionals
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work independently and within an interprofessional team environment.
