The opportunity with us
We are looking for an experienced Fitter to join our established Maintenance team at Scoresby VIC.

Reporting into the Maintenance Leading Hand, your role is to provide effective maintenance and repair of plant and equipment to achieve agreed plant performance levels including availability, reliability, cost, safety, and quality.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Promote a Zero Harm safety culture and comply with Company Policies
  • Consult and Work with others across the site to achieve results
  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance in a timely, costeffective manner
  • Proactively identify, diagnose and repair breakdowns
  • Actively participate and assist in equipment upgrades and installations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and activities
  • Participate in Toolbox Talks, actively taking part to resolve operational and WHSE issues
  • Identify and maintain the maintenance spare parts and consumables inventory.
  • Assisting in ensuring regular maintenance programs are carried out in accordance with the maintenance plans, and to the correct standard
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory

Attributes for success:


  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Trade Qualified in a Mechanical discipline
  • Demonstrated safety knowledge and compliance in a manufacturing environment eg Performing Take 2's, writing Job Safety Environmental Analysis / Safe Work Method Statements / Work instructions, Issuing permits.
  • Ability to follow plans and schedules
  • A proactive and flexible approach nothing is a hassle for you
  • Basic PC skills / Competent in SAP PM or similar CMMS
  • Forklift Licence desirable
  • Prior experience with stores and spares management will be highly regarded
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Current licenses / tickets including working at heights, confined space, EWP and dogging / rigging certification will be highly regarded.

Work hours:


  • 5 days at week on Afternoon Shift
  • 02:00pm 10:30pm
  • Opportunity to work overtime Saturday
