    23rd April, 2024About the team

Our thriving Workplace Relations and Safety team has recently been joined by one of the industries leading health and safety lawyers, Jane Hall.

Jane's extensive experience will add to the depth of our existing team of more than 20 safety lawyers in Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Queensland, and expand our national practice.

Beyond courts and boardrooms, our team prides itself on giving advice where it is most needed, which has included construction sites, warehouses, fishing vessels, factories, quarries and even in a truck or two.

Jane's practice falls into three distinct areas – Regulatory investigations and prosecutions; strategic and tactical advice; and WHS legal education and training.

    About the role
Jane is looking for a Senior Associate to join her team.

You will work closely with Jane as well as work directly with clients and manage files from instructions through to completion.

Jane works with clients from large ASX, private and government organisations on a diverse range of health and safety matters including litigation and criminal prosecutions, safety systems and health and safety frameworks.

As well as case work, Jane advises boards and leadership teams to identify and manage health and safety risks, meet their compliance and safety goals and protect their license to operate.

The work undertaken is often complex and requires you to work closely with clients as their trusted advisor.

This is a fast paced and interesting role that offers an exciting opportunity for a career minded professional to progress their legal career in a supportive environment and a growing group, servicing quality clients.

    About you

You will have gained exposure to the following:
Managing files and working closely with clients
Litigation work, including court appearances, engaging experts, criminal procedure, contested matters and pleas
    Dealing with regulators and prosecutors
Written advice to corporate clients, boards and or senior executives
