Manze is looking for a Venue Manager to lead the front of house in our small, intimate restaurant.

We have a rare opportunity for someone to join our award-winning team as a restaurant/venue manager as our current VM moves on after 2 years of running Manzé


We are looking for someone talented and passionate about food and beverage to help lead our restaurant as we continue to grow.

You will work closely with the kitchen team and direct our front of house team on a day to day basis.


This is an enriching role which includes day to day running of the restaurant - managing reservations, guests queries, and overseeing the team during prep and service.

During service, you will lead the team in providing warm, genuine service that shows your passion for and appreciation of our food, our drinks and the entire dining experience at Manzé.


The role also involves working closely with the owner & head chef to develop the restaurant's future, as well as event and public-facing opportunities.

You should have

  • At least two years in a similar role, ideally in a hatted venue. You could be in management already, or looking to step into a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in a restaurant setting running a section, hosting, and/or supervising.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and time management.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • A passion and strong knowledge for all things food and beverage, and the hospitality industry.
  • An understanding of our cuisine, the ingredients we use, cooking methods and various dietary requirements.
  • A strong understanding of the high standards we strive for in all aspects of our restaurant, every day. We have held a Good Food Guide hat since our first year, as well as having been featured in Gourmet Traveller's Top 25 Victorian restaurants for 2023, and strive to keep offering this level of dining everyday.
  • The desire to create and maintain a memorable dining experience for all guests that join us.
